I am a Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of New Mexico.  My research focus is on climate change mitigation and adaptation in forest systems.  I am particularly interested in coupled natural and human systems, quantifying feedbacks between these systems, and providing a policy-relevant context for science.  I earned a BS in Forestry from Northern Arizona University and a PhD in Ecology from the University of California, Davis.
