Marissa Goodwin
I received my BS in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont and have studied regeneration in northern hardwood forests of the eastern US and hurricane disturbance in the tropical forests of Puerto Rico. My research interests include forest management, sustainable agriculture, and climate change mitigation. In my role as a research scientist in the Earth Systems Ecology Lab, I am coordinating a project at the Teakettle Experimental Forest to understand how management practices influence forest carbon dynamics. One of the primary objectives of this research is to provide relevant information to forest managers about the effects of different management actions on ecosystem processes.
