I’m a PhD student in the Earth Systems Ecology lab at the University of New Mexico. My research interests are in soil-forest dynamics and the influence of soil properties to forest regeneration in frequent fire systems in the southwest. I have a background in soil science and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with honors in Earth Science and a minor in Biology. During undergraduate, I studied the heavy metal co-contamination of coal-silt floodplain soils in Pennsylvania.
