Carolina MayI am a research scientist focusing on the Teakettle Experimental Forest project in the southern Sierra Nevada. In my role, I work jointly with the Webster Lab to study the impacts of the 2025 Garnet Fire on forest structure, carbon dynamics, and water quality.
My research interests include ecosystem restoration, forest and fire ecology, and biogeochemistry. Before beginning my current role, I completed my M.S. in Biology at UNM in the Hurteau Lab and worked throughout northern New Mexico in forest and fire ecology research and monitoring. |
