Chang Gyo Jung

I am a Research Assistant Professor in the Earth System Ecology Lab. My research interests center on how fire disturbance and post-fire regeneration interact climate change. During my PhD at Northern Arizona University, I was trying to explain trends and variability of carbon cycle in response to experimental warming in tallgrass prairie. As my research topic prior to starting the PhD program was about plant response to abiotic stress in a molecular scale, I keep expanding a scope from plant responses in a molecular scale to ecosystem level responses to climate change. Currently, my research focuses on post-fire regeneration and how it will interact with on-going climate change.
